For all of you in the Coeur d’Alene area the dog park is well on its way! The Kootenai County Dog Park Association will be a part of the 4th of July parade. For those of you who would like to participate their float (a dog park being pulled by a refurbished tractor) is going to be #71 on the south side of Sherman Ave on 19th St. They will be meeting around 10:30 and the parade starts at 11:00. Participants are welcome to bring their friendly, leashed, dogs to either walk with the float or ride on it.

“If you are interested in helping build the park please meet at the dog park site, Northshire Park on Atlas and Nez Perce, anytime after 2:30PM (Thur 7/1) to help install the amenities and assist with the planting.” The trees and park amenities (benches, hydrants, paw-pavilion, dispenser posts, trash can posts) will be put in that day, July 1, hopefully with the help of many!
