You will have noticed I included Spokane and Pullman area trainers too. Finding a good dog trainer is extremely important! I hope that you will be able to find a dog trainer that you respect and connect with; remember that you never have to do anything a trainer tells you too if your gut is telling you not too – they should understand and give you alternatives.

As Idaho is the Gem State, Karen is a true GEM of Idaho!
Her caring, compassion and skill with dogs & with their owners is exceptional. We have been so blessed with her work with Miracle, our miracle dog…and us! I most highly recommend Karen for anyone looking for someone to help with their family dog. We travel an hour each way to get to A Family Dog, because we know the love and care and talented training we all receive from Karen at A Family Dog.
Could you add my kennel name, Kalea Shelties, Sagle, Idaho, 208-265-4541, to your list of breeders for Shetland Sheepdogs? I have contacts with other Sheltie breeders and rescue groups. Thank you!

Thanks, Molly. I am in contact with a rescue organization for shelties, if anyone wants to contact me looking for a nice sheltie that might need a forever home. I’m not sure about any of the other breeds at this moment, but I will certainly keep my ears open so that we can find homes for as many as we can.
Sandy is a wonderful instructor that is very knowledgeable and shares techniques, tidbits, and tips to help her students and their dogs perform better. I have a German shepherd with a type A personality and Sandy has helped me understand how to get the most from Jay and at the same time Jay loving what she is doing.
